Change is coming...!

No matter what way you look at it... Change is inevitable. The weather changes, the style changes, the season, month, day, and year changes.... Change surrounds us and helps us grow into the people we are meant to become.

I have always been pretty okay with change. My husband is not as easily persuaded that change is good. In all the time I have been with him (almost EIGHT years now!!!) we have not had to experience that much change as a couple. Marriage and living with me is about the extent of his change (and that took me 7 years!). Now that we are married and thinking about starting a family (I said THINKING- don't get too excited!), we are looking forward and preparing ourselves for the change. How can you prepare for something like that? How can you go from dating, to engaged, to married with dog, to married with dog and house and baby and, and, and…? Is there a way to make all this change easier on us as a couple? You can never be prepared enough to take the next leap of faith, to make the next change in your life, and I get that. But is there a check list that once completed means you are ready to bound from tall buildings onto taller ones? If there is I want a copy of it!

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”This is my prayer for now. This will be what gets me though the exciting transitions with (hopefully) less stress and worry. BRING IT ON! I'm ready for whatever comes my way. I will embrace the changes and take on my roll as wife, home owner, and mother with as much gusto as I can!

Bucket List

First off...  I know I'm a slacker when it comes to keeping up with this blog, but I'm going to try to get better about it!
While reading an old friends blog I saw an awesome idea that I had to try: a couples bucket list. I talked to Kenny and he thought it was a great idea too! So here is the begining of ours:

Christina and Kenny's Bucket List:
Buy a home
Travel at least once more before we start a family
Finish our degrees
Have a baby together
Raise our child/children to know right and wrong
Pay at least half of our kids college tuition
Travel to:
- Italy
- Germany
- Alaska
- Hawii
- New York (together because we have only been seperate)
- Atlantas
- Back to Disney World

My personal bucket list:
Write at least one book
Finish my degree
Take a photography class
Learn to play the piano

This is just the start of our list. I'm sure as the years go on we will add a ton and I'm hoping that we will get to cross off even more. You and your significant other should make a list as well. See what dreams and hopes you have as a couple. I'm so greatful to have seen the post on my friends blog because it was something fun to create with my husband.

I know this was short and a little unorganized but....
Until next time and with lots of love,
Your Newly Wed Blogger,
Christina
